Wii Fit = Zero Productivity

My Wii Fit finally arrived on Thursday, and it’s absolutely KILLED my productivity! Who knew that a little plastic board would be so addictive and fun? Kudos to Nintendo for completely changing the video game landscape – First with the Wii itself, and now with the Wii Fit.

The Wii Fit is supposed to help get you into shape, and I think it does that to an extent. The Fit focuses mainly on balance (and uses said balance to determine your Wii Age). Sure, they’ve got a Strength Training section, but not a replacement for free weights. They’ve got Cardio, but it’s not a replacement for a treadmill or elliptical. Where the Fit really shines is with their balance games, which are a ton of fun!

Will most people lose interest with it over time? Possibly.. But as more and more games come out that support the balance board (Wii Ski’s the only title at the moment, but more are on the way), I think we’ll see even more people jump on the Wii Fit bandwagon, causing shortages like the Wii shortages that still make it hard to find to this day!

From now on, I’m going to get my Fit work-out first thing in the morning, so I can get it out of the way, and focus on my tasks at hand for the day.

If you’re on the fence about a Wii Fit, just take the plunge.. Trust me!
