A friend posted a weird message on Facebook about Billy Mays this morning. A few minutes later, my wife tells me that one of her friends posted something about him as well. I jump onto TMZ.com and it was the first story on the site – Billy Mays was found dead this morning!

Talk about a crazy week – First Ed McMahon, then Farrah Fawcett, then Michael Jackson, and now Billy Mays?!

I’ve been watching the Discovery show Pitchmen since the beginning, which makes me feel closer to him than when I just looked at him as “the OxyClean guy”..

A real tragic event, for sure..

I watch a lot of movies, and I thought I’d get in the habit of posting little reviews on here.. I’m not one to go see a movie on opening night, so if you’re looking for current reviews, go to IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes instead.

Angels and Demons – I was disappointed with the movie, just as I was disappointed with The Da Vinci Code. In both cases, the books were MUCH better. But if you haven’t read the books, then you’ll probably enjoy the movie just fine. Too bad, I was really looking forward to this movie, as A&D was my favorite Dan Brown book to date!

Knowing – I had some friends that absolutely hated this movie, and yet I thorougly enjoyed it! An interesting story with a CRAZY twist at the end that you won’t see coming, it’s definitely worth a rental. Much better than that garbage Keanu Reeve’s movie from a few months ago.

Crank 2 – You need to come into this movie with the mindset that it’s going to be ridiculous.. That said, this movie was a lot of fun, with non-stop action throughout. Jason Statham gives us his typical superhero performance, and Amy Smart brings the eye candy once again. It rocks!

I am an idiot!

Apple announced the release of their iPhone 3G S, and I just sat on the sidelines. Having picked up my refurb 2G iPhone last February, I thought I had to wait until February 2010 until I could upgrade to the new phone at the $199 price. Turns out I was wrong! I was on AT&T’s site, and I found out that all 2G customers could upgrade to the new phone today at the promo price!

I should have realized this sooner – 2G owners paid full price for their phones.. 3G owners paid $199, and AT&T got the remainder of their cost through that extra $10/mo that they started charging when the 3G came out.. Over 2 years, it comes out to an additional $240. In reality, 3G owners were paying $40 for their phone, and losing their 200 texts/month!

Time for me to order my new phone. Once I get it, I’ll put my 2G phone up for sale – And with any luck, it should be a total wash!

OMG! Sources have confirmed that Michael Jackson has died!!

I saw footage on CNN earlier today that stated he suffered a heart attack, but this is just horrible!

RIP Michael..

It’s only been a month since the last Google PageRank update, but according to reports across the web, another update started on June 23rd. I noticed a few of our sites got a minor PR bump, which is what led me to these findings..

Hopefully we’ll start to see PR updates happening more frequently.
