Are Your Goals Realistic?

I have a friend who started an online business back in 2004. A year later, his business was so brisk that he decided to quit his full-time job and do this exclusively.

Unfortunately, the market became saturated, and by late 2007, things had slowed down substantially. Then came the recession, and you can see where I’m going with this. He’s tried to supplement his income with various affiliate marketing efforts, along with some advertising. He makes an OK living, but he would have been better off staying at his old 9-5 job.

5 YEARS he’s spent trying to “make it”.. People are encouraged by stories from John Chow and Shoemoney, but those guys are not the norm – Not by a long shot.

I figure my buddy’s probably LOST $250K by walking away from his full-time job. And honestly? He works 10x harder on his online efforts, often without much to show for it.

There comes a time when you’ve got to get real with yourself, and evaluate the situation. Are you making the right decision?

Think about it!
