Xfinity Wifi = FAIL!

I got a nifty e-mail the other day from “Xfinity” (Comcast), telling me that they’ve got a bunch of Wifi spots in the area.. When you’re in one of these spots, you just login with your security credentials, and you can surf the web using Wifi. I didn’t think much of it, and deleted the e-mail.

A few days later, I’m out at the Olive Garden with my wife, and I needed to pull up a website on my iPhone. When I turned on my phone, I saw that I was in one of the Xfinity hotspots. So I chose the Xfinity network, and it prompted me for my username and password. 5 MINUTES LATER, and it was still trying to log me in. At that point, I gave up, switched to 3G, and immediately pulled up the page in question!

That’s pretty sad.. Here’s hoping that was just a fluke.
