The Best Super Affiliate You’ve Never Heard Of!
I was listening to the 80’s station on Sirius this afternoon, and a song came on that brought me back to 1988, and the first CD I ever got.

A local radio station was doing a drawing at the mall, and I was the lucky winner. I didn’t even own a CD player yet! Luckily, my Dad’s work had given him an external SCSI CD-ROM for his laptop, and it had a headphone jack. Perfect!
I rocked out to this CD while playing Codename: Iceman by Sierra.. Those were the times! I miss those old Sierra games, before they decided to dumb down the games and move to a point-and-click system.
Anyway, just a bit of nostalgia on this snowy Friday.. What was the first CD you ever got?
I’ve been a long-time eBay user, and I’m even an eBay affiliate..
But eBay’s latest policy and fee changes are unwarranted. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the new feedback system would allow buyers to leave negatives for sellers, while sellers can not do the same should a buyer deserve it. This threatens the already fragile reputation system. As a result, sellers have organized a week-long boycott. As of yesterday, live auction listings have dropped by about 3%, from 14.5 million to around 14 million items.
eBay’s spokesperson told CNNMoney that the boycott “hasn’t had an impact on our listings.”
Nancy Baughman, an eBay PowerSeller who deals antiques, says it best. “I don’t think any sellers believe we can crush eBay in a week. We want eBay to acknowledge that these changes may not be the best for smaller sellers. I want eBay to make money, but can we make some too? I think they have a moral responsibility not to drive these people out the marketplace, especially considering the state of the economy.”
If you’re an eBay seller, please help the cause!
Only for me, I tend to lose steam on Fridays.. Sometimes, when the alarm clock goes off, I just turn on the TV and start watching Cheaters. Next thing you know, it’s 11am and I haven’t gotten any work done.
I find Fridays to be the busiest for me, as I’m trying to cram a TON of work into those 8 hours.. When the weekend rolls around, the fiancee wants me off the computer and doing stuff with her. Last week, we got to waste two days picking out items for our wedding registry.
Anyway, I stumbled across this collection of fake Demotivators posters, and it made me laugh. Hope you all enjoy ‘em.

Yeah, I know the phone is old, but my trusty LG VX6000 has never let me down. I’ll upgrade to an iPhone when they offer a 16GB version with 3G for $399 or less. Until then, I can live without it.
Contact me if you’d like to send me some free stuff.. In return, I’ll take a picture of the item and make a post about it. Shirts, hats, bags, pens, mouse pads, plasma tvs, sports cars, whatever you’d like - We’re not that picky. Swag is good.
If your site address is not on the items you send, please enclose a separate note or card with your site or blog address on it. Thanks for your interest in Free Swag Sunday!

Just wanted to touch base, as I’m sitting here at the airport in Phoenix waiting to board my plane home.. I’ve been in Arizona since Thursday night, and I’ve had the time of my life.
First and foremost, a HUGE thanks goes out to Celebrity Seats, who hooked me up with GREAT tickets for the Super Bowl for FREE!
As their top-performing affiliate for 2007, they rewarded me with a pair of Super Bowl tickets.. Who does that?! Not StubHub, TicketsNow, or any of the other big guys, that’s for sure..
The fun started on Friday night at the Maxim Super Bowl Party, which was held at the Stone Rose Lounge in the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel. The place was overflowing with stars - P.Diddy, Tom Petty, Nick Lachey, Chuck Lidell, Cindy Crawford, Jerry O’Connell, Kim Kardarshian, Heidi & Spencer (from The Hills), Ian Ziering, Stacy Kiebler, and the cast of HBO’s Entourage, just to name a few..
Saturday night was the Victoria’s Secret Super Bowl Party. This party had even more celebrities than the Maxim Party the night before! Stars included Adriana Lima, Adam Sandler, Donnie Wahlberg, LL Cool J, Tom Arnold, Randy Jackson (what’s up dog!), and Kathryn Heigl. There were also a lot of the same people I saw on Friday night.
Sunday was the big day! I woke up pretty worn out from the night before, but such is life.. We checked out the NFL Experience before the game. You could feel the excitement in the air, even with the miserable weather.. Made our way through the crowds, and got to our seats. We sat in the upper level, on the 20-yard line. Great view of the action.
The 1st quarter went by pretty quickly. Tom Brady looked strong on the field, and no noticable problems with his ankle. As much as I wanted the Giants to win, it looked like a lost cause. The 2nd and 3rd quarters were uneventful, with no points scored on either side. But things really came to life in the 4th quarter, and things became interesting again! Who’s going to win? Till the very end, it looked like the Patriots would finish off their perfect season. But then Eli Manning threw the perfect pass (the same play he did in practice just hours earlier), and the Giants came back to win it by 4!! Absolutely amazing..
I can tell it’s going to be a noisy flight home, as I’m flying with a bunch of Giants fans.. Signing off.
